About KLORIS
Your health and your wellness are some of the key attributes of a fulfilling and happy life. However, nature’s power to heal and help has often been under-explored and under-utilised. The KLORIS journey began when friends shared a meal and found themselves swapping stories of their CBD experiences when tackling various wellness issues. They found a need for more science-backed, reliable, and ethical CBD products in the industry.
They decided it was time to do something to make a change. They spent some time searching for the finest CBD that is cultivated and grown sustainably and respectfully. KLORIS then blended this high-quality CBD with other organic ingredients to create a collection of high quality and innovative CBD products dedicated to their core purpose, that can also be used with joy. Furthermore, KLORIS is committed to harnessing nature’s healing power combined with working in an ethical way, using sound science, and maintaining a respect for nature.
KLORIS and the environment

Let Nature Love You is the KLORIS mantra, while loving nature back is one of their core values. This is the reason why the founders of KLORIS place responsible, ethical, and sustainable manufacturing at the heart of what they do. The manufacturer uses as little packaging as possible and sources materials that have a minimal environmental impact that can be reused or recycled. For instance, for their postage material, they mostly use recycled or untreated paper and cardboard, and for their bottles, they use 95% glass.
KLORIS naturally sources all its ingredients and works with suppliers who farm responsibly using sustainable techniques without environment-damaging herbicides, fertilisers, or pesticides. KLORIS seeks to minimise waste in its production processes, such as avoiding the use of unnecessary materials, water, power, and travel. Furthermore, they recycle and reuse wherever possible. They also work with suppliers to minimise waste while keeping the use of supply chain resources to a minimum.
It goes without saying that KLORIS has banned single-use plastic items in its supply chain. To further achieve their goals, KLORIS supports charities that help the environment, such as the World Land Trust. Due to their efforts to support the ecosystem, KLORIS was recognised as the winner of the Gift & Lifestyle Brand of the Year during the 2019 Sustainable Lifestyle Awards.
The origins of CBD
Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the main plant compounds found in the cannabis plant. CBD occurs naturally and is mainly harvested from the resinous flowers, buds, or leaves of cannabis plants. Even though studies focused on CBD are relatively new, scientists and researchers worldwide continue to recognise CBD’s potential to uplift your wellbeing. CBD is also considered a safe and non-addictive natural compound.
Plant cannabinoids (phytocannabinoids) endow the cannabis plant with its special attributes. However, CBD is sometimes confused with tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the phytocannabinoid in marijuana that causes a high. CBD is purported to neutralise or suppress THC’s psychoactive effects. Due to CBD’s wide range of potential benefits, it is becoming a popular ingredient in many wellness products.
CBD vs THC
CBD and THC are two of the most studied and most well-known phytocannabinoids found naturally in cannabis plants (scientists have identified more than 100 phytocannabinoids). The main difference between the two compounds is whether they can cause a euphoric effect. THC makes users feel “stoned” or “high”, while CBD does not produce such mind-altering effects.
How CBD affects us

You can find that once you start enjoying CBD's potential benefits, the changes in your body are wonderful, that you may want to continue using CBD products. However, this is not because CBD is addictive; CBD is simply a game-changer. CBD is not considered addictive at a molecular level and has a favourable safety profile. Some users report experiencing fatigue, dry mouth, mild drowsiness, or appetite changes when they have taken CBD in excess. However, provided you stick to the recommended dosage, CBD products should not affect you in these ways.
CBD and the endocannabinoid system
The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a complex biological system of endocannabinoid, enzymes, and receptors. Enzymes produce and break down endocannabinoids (natural cannabinoids that are produced by the body). Receptors are located on cells and help them to respond to various stimuli.
These three mechanisms are found to be responsible for regulating balance (homeostasis) in the body. When there are deviations from homeostasis, the ECS is activated and begins secreting endocannabinoids to restore balance. In the same way, CBD can also bind with receptors to help restore homeostasis. As endocannabinoid receptors also exist on the skin, topical CBD targets them to provide relief to damaged skin.
The legality of CBD
CBD extracted from hemp is legal in many countries, including the UK, Canada, and the USA. However, the market is still unregulated so when purchasing CBD products, look for trusted suppliers that provide a Certificate of Analysis (COA). A COA will show the results of the lab tests that have been carried out. CBD should also contain less than 0.2% THC.
