About Naturecan

Founded by Andy Duckworth and Paul Finnegan in May of 2019, Naturecan is emerging as one of the leading CBD brands in the UK. The company mainly focuses on the production of premium and safe hemp-based products. In addition to that, the brand also manufactures health supplements, such as vitamins and minerals.
What makes Naturecan trustworthy are its close ties with reputable organisations, such as the UK's Centre for Medicinal Cannabis (CMC) and the Association for Cannabinoid Industry (ACI). Both organisations certify and regulate CBD products to ensure that they meet the specified requirements. These merits keep Naturecan on its toes, ensuring supply chain excellence.
Furthermore, with the FSA recently keeping a close eye on CBD, Naturecan makes a point to effectively comply with each and every cannabis regulation enacted in the state.
What should you know about CBD?
Discovered in 1942, CBD is an organic substance that exists in Cannabis L. Sativa plants. Research suggests that there are over 100 phytocannabinoids in these plants. Some of these compounds include Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), Cannabinol (CBN), and Cannabigerol (CBG). After the discovery of CBD, the world witnessed a boom in cannabidiol use due to its numerous health benefits. Before getting to that, below are some of the questions you might have regarding CBD.
How CBD works
A lot has been said about the potential health benefits of CBD. And, a lot of people testify of the amazing health effects they experience when they use the substance. However, you should not try to use it to diagnose, cure, or treat any diseases. It is recommended to be used as a supplement to promote a healthier lifestyle.
We do know that cannabidiol can bind to receptors of the Central Nervous System (CNS) to produce several effects. However, it will not cause you to get "high". There is also no evidence to show that CBD can cause addiction.
How CBD is regulated
In the UK, the cannabis industry is being monitored by several organisations including the Cannabis Trades Association (CTA). The CTA is the oldest and largest cannabinoid organisation that has an influence in all sectors of the UK cannabis industry. It promotes good hemp farming and manufacturing practices and makes sure that CBD users have access to quality information.
Due to the increased knowledge of the potential health benefits of CBD and its non-intoxicating nature, most countries in Europe and the USA have lifted the ban on CBD. However, before you begin to use it, make sure you understand the regulations in your region or country.
CBD’s safety profile
According to research, CBD is a safe substance. As long as it's used appropriately as recommended by manufacturers, you won't be harmed. However, if taken in large doses for an extended period, it may cause minor side effects, such as nausea, diarrhoea, headache, and changes in appetite.
Topical products
The CBD found in topical products (skincare and cosmetics) does not pass from the skin into the bloodstream. This means, when you use it topically, you will mostly benefit from its effects on the skin. When combined with other natural ingredients, you can enjoy anti-inflammatory and antioxidant health benefits, such as joint and muscle pain relief. Additionally, CBD topicals can improve the general health of your skin.
Roles of CBD in the body

A few decades after the discovery of CBD, a researcher called Dr Raphael Mechoulam became interested in finding its mechanism of action. This helped with understanding its potential applications and benefits. As he carried out his research, he stumbled upon a biological system that he called the endocannabinoid system (ECS).
What is the ECS?
The ECS is a cell signalling system found in the bodies of humans and other vertebrae organisms. It consists of cannabinoid receptors that can be stimulated by neurotransmitters called endocannabinoids. So far, the commonly known cannabinoid receptors are CB1 and CB2 receptors found in the peripheral and central nervous systems.
As for endocannabinoids, these are chemical substances (cannabinoids) that are manufactured within the body. Two of the prominently known are anandamide and 2-AG.
The function of the ECS
When endocannabinoids interact with cannabinoid receptors, signals that regulate various physiological systems of the body are actioned. This keeps interdependent systems of the body in perfect balance, a phenomenon known as homeostasis.
The skin
The skin is a dynamic organ that also possesses an endocannabinoid system. This ECS also has a homeostatic function, i.e. to regulate cellular activities, such as cell differentiation, reproduction, immune response, and hormonal function.
CBD supplements
Researchers found that endocannabinoids of the ECS have similarities with phytocannabinoids of cannabis plants. After learning about this, they closely examined the metabolic pathways of CBD and found that it can interact with receptors of the endocannabinoid system. It can mimic the actions of some endocannabinoids in the maintenance of homeostasis of both the body and the skin.
Applications
CBD is a soothing ingredient that helps to promote relaxation and focus. CBD is also purported to help some users in the relief of their chronic pain, anxiety, acne, and the symptoms of many other conditions.
Cannabidiol has many promising applications. As we speak, a lot of scientific investigation is underway to find out about its usability in the formulation of drugs for a variety of diseases.
NB: Naturecan’s products are not intended to cure or treat any disease. They are supplements used only to promote an active and healthy lifestyle.

FAQs
Where are Naturecan’s products made?
Naturecan’s products are made in Oregon, USA. Their hemp is also grown and extracted there, which helps to minimise their carbon footprint. Their producer has multi-million-pound facilities across the West Coast of America and was the first extractor to get its licence in California. They are led by science with the goal of constantly pushing the boundaries of the benefits of cannabis.
What products does Naturecan make?
Naturecan makes CBD oils, capsules, edibles, and vapes. They have an extensive range of CBD balms as well as CBD beauty products. They provide vitamins and fitness supplements, such as protein powders and cookies, and they have a line of CBG oil.
What is CBG oil?
CBG stands for Cannabigerol and is one of the cannabinoids extracted from hemp that contains a negligible trace of THC. CBG is the parent of CBD and THC and is extracted during the early stages when the cannabis plant is flowering. This is usually between 6-8 weeks of the flowering process as this is when the CBG concentration is at its peak. Similar to CBD, CBG is not psychoactive and provides a balancing role in our bodies.
How does Naturecan extract its CBD?
Naturecan uses chromatography and distillation to extract its CBD, enabling them to retain other minor cannabinoids to create a broad-spectrum distillate while minimising the THC content. Unlike other companies who use High-performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Naturecan uses Centrifugal Partition Chromatography (CPC). This enables them to deliver CBD oil that is of the highest purity and quality.
Why is CPC better?
HPLC is an expensive, time-consuming procedure that only extracts small amounts of purified CBD. It utilises large quantities of solvents that can contaminate the CBD extract. CPC is a greener, more sustainable procedure that has a minimal impact on the environment and provides a purer end product.
Do Naturecan’s CBD products contain THC?
Naturecan uses broad-spectrum CBD which is produced to a very high specification to contain high levels of CBD (over 90%) and 0% THC. The THC legal limit in the UK is 0.2% and Naturecan’s CBD contains less than 0.0186%
Do Naturecan’s CBD products contain GMOs?
No, Naturecan’ products are 100% natural and non-GMO. They only use certified quality ingredients and track all of their products at every step of their life cycle. Their mission is to give back to nature and to become carbon neutral by 2022.
Are any of Naturecan’s CBD products vegan?
Yes, Naturecan produces a range of vegan products that include CBD oil, CBD capsules, CBD gummies, and CBD brownies. There is even a vegan CBD bundle that you can buy to maximise your purchase and minimise your spending.
What CBD oils does Naturecan have to offer?
Naturecan supplies CBD oils of varying strengths (5, 10, 15, 20, and 40%). These contain MCT as the carrier oil which does not flavour the oil but does help to enhance the bioavailability of CBD. All of their CBD oils are vegan-friendly.
What CBD capsules does Naturecan provide?
Naturecan provides three different vegan capsules, one of which provides superfast absorption and another that includes astaxanthin (an anti-ageing agent for the skin). They also make CBD soft gels, one of which contains curcuminoids and another which contains vitamin C. Capsules and soft gels provide a convenient way to take CBD on the go and have no taste so are ideal for CBD users who do not like the natural flavour of hemp.
What CBD edibles does Naturecan make?
Naturecan supplies CBD gummies, brownies, cookies and chocolate. They also produce something that is not often seen on the CBD market - CBD crunchy peanut butter, honey salt peanut butter, triple nut butter, and peanut butter with crunchy cocoa nibs.
What CBD topicals does Naturecan produce?
